Never content to rest on their laurels, The Wednesday Club present their second long player of the year, a mere six months after the critically acclaimed PASSING STRANGE flew off the virtual shelf. Mostly recorded at the same time, DRY HUMPS finds yr boys striking a similar chord, although a more accurate metaphor could be to say that DRY HUMPS is the vocal harmony to PASSING STRANGE. It might not be the main event but the two are infinitely enriched by each other. All your usual touchstones are here, a dash of Guided By Voices, a splash of Elephant 6, a touch of The Residents and a self-depracatory sense of hemour. This time round the songs are augmented by a Newspaper written by the band.

The Wednesday Club are a band formerly from Leeds, UK but now scattered around England. Comprising 3 distinct singer/songwriters each bringing their own spin on indie-pop but coming together through a shared love of the absurd and the ethos that clever and stupid are equally valid methods of expression. They have previously released the albums No, You Broke Jo's Amp (2007), SOAP (2008), Katapult (2009), So Claw (2011), Sour Crow (2011) and this year's Passing Strange which garnered the accolades:
